When we first created PodInbox, we thought, “wouldn’t it be fun if fans could submit their audio messages…AND leave a tip with their message?”

We shared the idea around…and podcasters loved the idea.

So today, we’re excited to announce that message tipping is now available!

Now, with every message block, there’s a “$” sign where you can click to leave a tip for that message! You can leave a tip for your own messages, or for any message you like. All tips go directly to the podcaster.

There are so many creative ways you can use our new message tipping feature to earn money! But the most important thing is…be bold and consistent in asking for monetary support. Many of your fans want to support you, so remind them how much you appreciate it.

Here are a few ideas of how you can use the new message tips feature. In every episode, just encourage your fans to leave a message tip, and you’ll do one of these…

• Reply to their message on PodInbox
• Give them a shout out on your show
• Answer their question on a Q&A segment
• Feature their audio clip on your show (try this as a sponsor read ad!)
• Bring the fan on as an episode guest
• Send them premium content if they tip a certain amount

The list of ideas are endless. Just be consistent and creative! Your fans love you and many of them want to support your work.

Also noteworthy, these tips accumulate as part of each fan’s total donations. Yup, this means fans can climb up your leaderboard using message tips…making your leaderboard even more powerful and incentive-driven!
